BTW Conversations makes a little room for the person beneath the roles, routines and expectations.
Start with curiosity
It is easy to know what someone does without knowing what matters to them. It can be just as easy to lose touch with our own preferences while meeting everyone else’s expectations. BTW begins with ordinary questions and offers a way to explore further, one conversation at a time.
The name quietly borrows from “by the way”: the small opening that can lead somewhere unexpected. You do not need the perfect setting or a prepared answer. A few minutes and a willingness to listen are enough to begin.
Six levels. Your pace, always.
The game moves from everyday interests towards patterns, influences, values, choices and identity. Each question comes with a reflection and an optional deeper prompt. You decide what to answer, whether to continue and when to stop.
There are no scores, personality labels or prizes for revealing more. A light question can make a meaningful conversation. Passing is a complete response.
For yourself, or with someone else
Play Solo for a quiet check-in, Couples to make room for each other, Friends / Groups to go beyond the usual, or Family to hear from the people behind familiar roles. This beta is for adults in every mode, including Family.
Playing together currently means sharing a screen and taking turns. If you are on a call, one person can read the prompts aloud. Synchronised remote rooms are not available yet.
A game with room to pause
BTW is a conversation game, not therapy, a diagnosis or a test of your relationship. It does not ask you to submit an answer. Listen without trying to fix someone, ask before offering advice and leave other people’s stories with them.
The game is free and does not require an account. Advertising is currently disabled. If ads are introduced later, they will have to fit around the experience and respect its pauses.
