SOLO · MAKE A LITTLE SPACE

A quiet conversation with yourself

You do not need a journal full of insights to have a useful moment with yourself. You can start with one ordinary detail: a part of your day you enjoyed, something that took more energy than you expected, or a place where you felt comfortable.

Solo play in BTW is an invitation to notice. There is no profile to complete, result to unlock or answer that proves you understand yourself. A question can be useful even when your answer is ‘I’m not sure yet.’

Choose a small beginning

Settle somewhere you can pause for a few minutes. Choose Solo and begin at Level 1. Read the question once, then give yourself a moment before deciding whether you want to answer. You can think silently, speak aloud or use your own notebook.

Keep the first answer specific. If the question is about feeling recharged, picture a real moment rather than writing a list of things you believe a balanced person should do. A cup of tea in a quiet kitchen is as valid as a long walk.

Describe before explaining

Try separating what happened from the explanation you immediately attach to it. ‘I felt relaxed when I cooked dinner’ is an observation. ‘That means I should change my whole life’ is a much bigger conclusion. You do not need to reach the second one.

The reflection prompt is a chance to look again. You might notice a preference, a contradiction or simply that you are tired. Leave room for an answer to change on another day.

Let ‘Go deeper’ stay optional

The deeper prompt is not the better answer. Use it if you are curious and have the space to continue. Skip it if the first question was enough, or if you would rather move on. You can choose a different level another time.

If writing starts to feel like pressure to reveal or solve something, put the question down. Return to an ordinary activity or a lighter conversation. BTW is a game, not a substitute for personal support.

Finish with something you can carry

At the end, choose one sentence you want to remember. It might be ‘I enjoy unplanned afternoons’ or ‘I want more time to decide.’ You do not owe that sentence an action plan.

Notes typed inside BTW stay in the current page’s memory. Download them before refreshing or closing. Saved session progress can help you return to the question later, but it does not preserve those notes.

When you return, start with how you are now. Repeating the practice does not require repeating yesterday’s answer.

YOUR PACE, ALWAYS

Let a question be the beginning.

Choose your mode and begin gently. There is no account to create and no answer to submit.
